• Exposure to arts, creativity, and literacy in a fun, engaging environment

• A community celebration that honors their hard work throughout the school year

Our Story

What began as a small community egg hunt over 21 years ago founded by former Metro Nashville Council Member and former Metro Nashville Public Schools Board Member Karen Johnson has grown into the Southeast Nashville Egg Hunt & Festival, now serving over 7,000 children and families each year.

Today, a dedicated group of community leaders comes together to plan this all-day event, which includes:

• Egg hunts for ages Birth to 4th grade

• Vendor booths and community resources

• A character parade

• Live entertainment

• Inflatables and special prizes

Leaders from government, schools, churches, and across the community unite to provide this experience for families in one of Nashville's most vibrant and multicultural communities.
